Limericks are a fun way to recognize someone for an anniversary, birthday, or significant career accomplishment. It's a personal gift that joins the sentiment of fond memories with the laughter of the past that made it all worthwhile.
Limericks are currently $75, and as it is with all Speechboosters, I'll work with you to create a limerick that you're delighted with, and you won't pay until you are. You can then present the limerick in any way you choose. Use your own creativity and local vendors to create a framed presentation along with a group picture, or maybe even have a t-shirt made.
Here's a limerick sample for Joe the Salesman who is retiring....
Ode To Joe
There once was a salesman named Joe,
That seemed to always be on the go.
He claimed hundreds of sales.
But we think he tells tales,
'Cause the things that he's selling, we don't know.
Joe has been here a very long time,
But if he was down to his very last dime,
He would give it to you,
Right on top of your shoe,
And as you stooped, over your back, he would climb.
Joe is fun on those times when he's around,
And we enjoy when he acts like a clown,
But the best laughs from Joe,
Are when we're sure that we know,
That he's miles and miles out of town.
It's time now for Joe to be retired.
It's truly amazing that he never was fired.
But all kidding aside,
We say thanks for the ride,
And we're grateful for the day he was hired.
